Our Services
Located in Kurri Kurri, the team at Barkuma Neighbourhood Centre Inc provide friendly, culturally appropriate services to our local Aboriginal community, including our Elders and younger people with challenged abilities.
At Barkuma we believe everyone should be equally accepted, our services aim to help our community achieve independence and inclusion in everyday life and to achieve their goals.

Elders Support
Barkuma's services are designed to enable our Elders to live independently within their own home by offering support and assistance in a culturally appropriate environment.
Hunter Water Account Assistance Program
Barkuma can support you to access the Hunter Water Account Assistance Program. If you are having difficulty paying your bill or are concerned about meeting a payment on time, we will assist you with options and solutions for paying before your next one is due.
Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA)
Barkuma can support you to access the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) if you having a hard time paying your household electricity or natural gas bill. You could be eligible for a one-off payment through our Energy Accounts Payments Assistance (EAPA) scheme.
NDIS
The NDIS Provides funding to participants to purchase a range of supports aimed at increasing their independence, inclusion and social participation.
